This is a small late 19th c. enamel brooch is low karat (9) gold. It is in exceptional condition. These usually display dings and at least a scraped off leaf or petal! The enamel is perfect and the colors rich and reflective. The setting, too, is very nice. I don't know why I always call enamel on copper "costume" jewelry, but for very low karat gold it seems appropriate. It looks like 14 karat :) It is 1 & 1/8", slightly domed.
