This lovely set exemplifies the technique of lamp-working glass into filigree wire; it is generically called "gripoix" but I have no way of knowing if this a Madame Gripoix piece. I do not think the House of Gripoix had a patent on this style of manufacture, but I know it is not "poured" or "molded" (pate de verre) glass. It was melted by torch into the framework. It is in excellent condition in shade of water--blue and green. The brooch is 2 & 1/2" at the widest. Earrings are 1 & 1/4". Quite unusual.
