Sometimes called Mennancy porcelain, I know nothing of these old soft porcelains respecting manufacturer. They could be French, German, or English, but the age is known by its style and form as late 18th century. They very often have a basket lattice-like background. This large 1 & 1/4" late Georgian period (circa 1800) soft paste porcelain is in excellent condition with a bisque modeled shank. The design is a mixtion--transfer of minimal design in hand painted hues on lattice. The fact that button collectors value these fragile antiques probably accounts most for their survival.
