This brooch is an early piece of Miriam Haskell jewelry circa 1940. I recognized it by the beads--the quality and the hues. Then, years later, I realized it is actually shown in a leading book on Haskell. Notice the pomegranate beads? They actually look like the seeds. The pale beads imitate rose quartz. It measures 1 & 7/8 inches and is in excellent condition--no wobblies, jury rigging, or glue.
