This early 20th century pressed glass necklace on a 28 inch chain (silver color but looks like plated brass) mimics the French style of the Art Nouveau made popular by Paris world exposition. I think this is American--it has to do with the bale. (I think the French try a little harder.) The pendant measures 1 & 7/8 by 1 by 1/8 inches. It is highly polished; the matte satin areas are tinted medium blue. It is beautiful and in excellent condition--no hidden wart :) Just a note: There is a ton of new "found" Czech glass flooding the market in necklaces. I don't think the Czechs have started reproducing this quality yet, because we don't see many of these.
