Sue Gifford Knopp is a prominent American enamelist whose work I have acquired and admired for many years. Her pieces have been featured in books and articles--in fact, I first saw one of her cloisonne fairies in a modern silver jewelry book. Her enamel work has won awards. This small 1 by 3/4 inches pendant just shimmers in iridescent lavender and pink; the fairy's face is less orange than shown--more pink flesh tones. The headdress also shimmers with foil enamel. Signed SGK and Sterling on the back, it comes on a very nice 22 inch sterling silver snake chain. I don't know if Sue is still creating her enamel fantasies, but you can fine out all about her online. This is in excellent condition.
