I think this is an early 19th century "Tassie" cameo. I cannot say if it was made by Tassie, but I can say that it is not modern glass. It is very finely detailed, and shows some annealing lines. It is more like pate de verre than poured glass, gritty, almost stone like--like some Tassies. It imitates angle skin coral (but the annealing lines protest). It's just a nice old button for the glass lover. It measures 1" medium.
