This is an Egyptian Revival brooch, likely from the 1920s, of silver-plated brass with a small natural coral bezel-set cabochon. The Nile lotus embellishes the design. The beads and center jewel are pate de verre, imitative of lapis lazuli. The center jewel has a flying beetle. It measures 3" from top to bottom, and 2 & 1/8" wide. It is in very fine condition with a heavy hand crafted c-clasp.
