Lacy glass is thought to be of Bohemian origin, late 19th or early 20th century, reknown for its metallic back paint and lacy pressed front surfaces. The color layer is usually painted over with black or silver paint to preserve it. This button needs description! The images do depict it fairly but it does slightly color-shift when tilted. The metallic foil back has sky blue, pale peach and yellow hues, while the surface facets are bright silver luster. These glass "cut steels" are bordered with a ring of gold. The effect is dazzling and must have muted even the most effusive shot silks! This button is in very fine condition with slight back wear disguised in the splendor :)
