This is a large 1 & 1/2 inch early 20th c. gilded sterling silver brooch (marked) depicting in very fine enamel blue white Easter lilies. People confuse this as cloisonne and guilloche enamel, but neither technique is applied on this lovely brooch. That may debatable by some, as items of this manufacture were often marked "Real Cloisonne" by early 20th century by American manufacturers. No maker indicated. Still, I am pretty sure it is a felicitous marriage of champleve and basse taille techniques... a little less skill entailed, but no less beauty and durability.
