For your consideration here is a rare Art Deco vintage, circa 1925, 14 K White Gold Lady’s filigree dress ring. The star symbol for the Order of the Eastern Star organization is rivet set into the center top of the ring’s Black Onyx flat polished cut corner rectangular cabochon. Four squared claws hold the onyx to the white gold setting at Cardinal points.
Quoted From Wikipedia: “The emblem of the Order is a five-pointed star with the white ray of the star pointing downwards towards the manger. In the Chapter room, the downward-pointing white ray points to the West. The character-building lessons taught in the Order are stories inspired by Biblical figures:”
