Offered here for your consideration is a Victorian 14K Yellow Gold (by test) and Sterling Silver (by test) brooch dating to near the end of the 19th Century. At the center of the “safety pin” style brooch is a bezel set heart shape medium light green natural Peridot gemstone. Surrounding the heart are six mine cut white Diamonds set in tubes of sterling silver. This cluster is displayed on a yellow gold safety pin which has a small “sleeve” to hold the pin stem.
The pin is 1 ¾” wide, the heart centerpiece measures 3/8” X 3/8”. Peridot .77ct. Pin weight 3 grams.
The pin is in excellent vintage condition with light patina from a century plus of gentle use and good care. The Peridot Heart has a small amount of abrasion to a facet edge; this is not visible without magnification. The pin is very sturdy, the pinstem swivels so it will not get metal fatigue from bending it repeatedly.
You can see some tarnish on the sterling part of the brooch; I can easily clean it off prior to sending it to you. Please mention that you would prefer no tarnish when you place your order. It is generally recommended by antique jewelry professionals that tarnish from age be left as found.
I offer a two month (items over $595 three month plan) payment plan should you choose: 1/2 upon purchase order, then 1/2 a month later. Other terms might be possible so please ask if this doesn’t suit your needs.
