A stunning pair of antique Adam style single-arm sconces, in their original pewter finish, and made by Empire. Dating from the 1910's, the sconces feature a beautifully detailed shield-shaped backplate, crowned with an urn and bordered in foliate detail. A understated arm extends from the bottom of the backplate, supporting a decorative candle cup with a geometric pattern. These wall lamps are in very good antique condition with a beautifully aged finish; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces are 8” tall, 4-1/4” wide, and project 3-3/4” from the wall.
