A charming pair of antique Neoclassical single-arm sconces, dating from the early 1900’s, and made and signed by Lowry Electric Company. These cast iron sconces feature a shield-shaped backplate crowned by a leafy and scrolling heart-like design; the backplate below has a hammered texture accented with foliate embellishments and curling volutes. A substantial arm extends from the bottom of the backplate to support a leafy wax pan finished with a twisted spike finial. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconces measure 13-7/8" tall, 4-1/2" wide and project 4-1/8" from the wall.
