Wonderful pair of antique single-arm sconces in cast iron, patented in 1927 and made by Markel Lighting Products of Buffalo, NY. Each sconce is crowned by a volute and foliate top finial; below, the backplate has a seeded texture with florets, leaves, and a gadrooned central rosette. A single arm extends from the bottom of the back plate to support a beaded and gadrooned bobeche. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces are 4-5/8" wide, 9-1/2" tall, and project 4-1/2” from the wall. THE PRICE LISTED IS FOR EACH SCONCE PAIR.
