A fabulous pair of antique double-arm Neoclassical sconces, salvaged out of a home in Cleveland, OH, and dating from the 1920s. Each sconce features a diamond shaped backplate bordered in roping and ornamented with a flowing design of foliate flourishes and volutes; the intricate design is set against a maroon background. Two arms extend from the bottom of the backplate to support leafy bobeches; the arms each adorned with stylized foliates and palmettes. These wall lamps are in excellent condition with one chip to the finish as pictured and have been professionally rewired. Each sconce measures 12-1/4” tall, 9-3/4” wide, and project 3-1/2” from the wall.
