A charming pair of antique double-arm sconces, made and signed by Riddle and dating from the early 1900’s. The sconces are crowned with a stylized quatrefoil with a seeded texture; the backplate below is ornamented with scrolling vines, bellflowers, berries, and foliates. Two arms flank the backplate and extend to hold leafy wax pans finished with leaf and berry finials. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces measure 10-5/8” tall, 9” wide, and project 3-1/4” from the wall.
