A striking pair of antique Gothic Revival sconces, dating from the 1920’s, and found in a home in Chicago, IL. Each cast bronze single-arm sconces feature an arched backplate with a hammered texture and a recessed quatrefoil accent; the bottom is ornamented with a band of crenellated detail. A single arm extends from the center of the backplate to support a crown-like bobeche; a fabulous framework descends below the bobeche and is adorned with stylized flowers, leaves, and twisted detail. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconces measure 6-1/2" wide, 11-1/4" tall, and project 4-5/8" from the wall.
