Handsome pair of antique Tudor single-arm sconces, dating from the 1920s, and found in a home in Springfield, IL. Each sconce features a shield-shaped backplate ornamented with petite foliate flourishes and a domed center; the center is accented with a radiating design of red trefoils. A roped platform protrudes from the bottom of the backplate to hold a fleur-de-lis candle cup; the underside of the platform is ornamented with a pierced design of trefoils and fleur de lis. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. Each sconce measures 6-1/8" wide, 10-1/2" tall, and projects 4-5/8" from the wall.
