A striking pair of antique figural one-arm sconces, dating from the 1930s and featuring their original polychrome finish. Each elongated, shield-shaped sconce is crowned with a stylized and twisted fleur-de-lis flanked with dog heads. The backplate is ornamented with a flowing design of swirling vines and fleur-de-lis; two crossed banners ornament the center which is finished with a crest highlighted in blue and red polychrome. A single arm extends from the bottom of the backplate to support a two-part pie-crust edged bobeche; the bobeche is finished with an elegant and stylized spike finial. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. Each sconce measures 5-3/8" wide, 18-1/4" tall, and projects 4-3/4" from the wall.
