A striking pair of antique one-arm sconces, dating from the early 1900's and featuring their original polychrome finish. Salvaged from a home in Indianapolis, IN, each hammered sconce begins with a shield-shaped backplate ornamented with a flowing, yet understated design of volutes, foliates, and flowers. A single, substantial arm extends from the bottom of the backplate to support a leafy bobeche. Red and green polychrome accents highlight the sconces throughout. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. Each sconce measures 4-7/8" wide, 11-5/8" tall, and projects 4-7/8" from the wall.
