Superb Antique Gas & Electric Sconce Pair with Glass Shades, 19th Century
A marvelous pair of antique single-arm Arts & Crafts sconces, dating from the late 1800’s, originally half gas and half electric - and now fully converted to electricity. Each sconce features a square nickle-plated backplate; a squared arm extends from its center to support a candelabra-style light with a rectangular gas key at the top, and a frosted glass shade below. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The shades are also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rims. Each sconce measures approx. 4-3/4” wide overall, 13” tall (without the bulb,) and has a projection of 8-3/8".
