This is a wonderful pair of antique single-arm sconces, signed by their maker, Lapco, and dating from the early 1900's. Each sconce features a backplate crowned with a cluster of volutes and leaves; a stepped band with geometric details encircles the circular backplate, which also features a hammered and textural background. A single arm extends from the bottom of the backplate to support a pierced bobeche; the arm is ornamented with a beautifully detailed spike finial. Polychrome accents in green and orange highlight the fixture throughout. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconces are 11-1/2” tall, 4-1/2” wide, and project 4-3/4” from the wall.
