A stunning arched antique American stained glass window featuring a shield design, and dating from the late 19th century. This half-moon window is composed of a background of clear granite glass, surrounded by a frame of ripple glass. The understated motif features a shield flanked by ribbons and diamonds at its center; the design is composed of green, lavender, red, and sky blue glass. The frame has beautifully carved details at the corners in the form of stylized sunbursts. This window is in very good antique condition (as pictured;) the frame has been painted white on both sides and has some minor cracks (as pictured.) The window frame measures 52-1/4" wide by 23-5/8" tall, with a frame 1-3/4" thick; the glass measures 47" wide by 19-5/8" tall.
