A wonderful salvaged antique oak newel post, dating from the 1890s, and found in a home in Philadelphia, PA. The boxed Eastlake newel features deeply incised lines and an arched top with a carved and stylized fan design (the top is raised off of the newel body). The newel is in good condition with the expected wear including chips, scuffs, and dings (as pictured.) The boxed post measures 4-7/8” square and 41” tall. There is a coordinating newel available under #NNP176-RW.
