A striking salvaged walnut newel post dating from the early 1900s, and found in a home in Arlington, VA. This turned newel features a tapered silhouette with grooved lines, faceted sides, and a circular newel cap. The newel is in good antique condition with the typical wear and some larger chips out of the base (as pictured.) It measures approx. 6” wide and 44-3/8” tall; the partial handrail protrudes 14-3/4".
