A gorgeous salvaged boxed newel post dating from the early 1900s and salvaged from a home in Lancaster, PA. The box newel is crowned with a substantial ball finial; its tapered body features beautifully carved details in the form of roundels and grooved lines. The newel is in good antique condition with the typical wear; the finial has a crack through its base (as pictured.) It measures approx. 7-1/8” wide and 54-1/2” tall.
