A magnificent antique lamp post, composed of beautifully wrought and cast iron, and salvaged from a hotel in downtown Nashville, TN. A substantial baluster stems from the center of the fixture's octagonal base and ascends to affix to two wide bands ornamented with volutes. The lower band served as an umbrella holder while the upper band served as a coat and hat holder with its built in hooks. The post is crowned with three circular platforms supported by a framework and arms composed of scrolling volutes; the platforms originally held the fixture's lights. This piece is not wired and is in very good condition with expected wear including some missing hooks. The substantial fixture measures 60" wide at its top, 29" wide at its base, and 103" tall.
