Antique decorative tiles, dating from the late 19th Century and made by Providential Tile Works of Trenton, NJ. Each convex tile has a sweeping foliate design featuring acanthus leaves, with a border of bead-and-reel detailing running along the top and bottom of each tile. The tiles are in a muted aqua hue with subtle brown mottling. This salvaged tile, originally used either in around a fireplace or in a vestibule, is in good antique condition with the usual crazing, minor scratches and chips that you see on antique tile.
