An attractive federal fireplace mantel, salvaged from the Ward McDonald house in Bowling Green, KY and dating from 1822. This old mantel features clean lines and understated details, making it extremely versatile and appropriate for a variety of styles. It is crowned by a substantial mantel shelf supported by beveled trim, and below the squared off legs feature inset panels. This fireplace mantel is in good antique condition with part of the firebox trim missing (as pictured), and has a chippy painted white finish. It measures approximately 86-3/8" wide, 61-3/4" tall, and 9” deep; the firebox opening is approximately 54-1/2" wide and 40-1/4" tall.
