A fabulous antique fireplace mantel, dating from the 1890's, and found in a home in Nashville, TN. The mantel is crowned with a scalloped mantel shelf; the mantel face below is ornamented with an angular cartouche flanked with raised panels. The mantel's legs feature chamfered and groove details, and finish in pilaster style bases. The mantel is in very good condition with the expected wear, nicks, and chips (as pictured.) It measures 53" wide, 50-1/2" tall and 9" deep, and has a firebox opening of approximately 30-7/8" wide and 36" tall.
