An exquisite antique fireplace mantel with beautifully carved details, salvaged from a home in Philadelphia, PA and dating from the early 1900s. The mantle is crowned with a beautifully aged and arched mirror; two shelves lined with dentil trim and supported by petite ionic columns flank the mirror. Below, the substantial lower shelf is lined with egg-and-dart trim and is supported by four volute embellished brackets. Beautifully carved details in leafy Neoclassical motifs accent the mantel throughout. This mantel is in very good condition with the expected wear including a small crack on the left back side of the lower shelf (as pictured.). It measures 59-5/8” wide, 101" tall, 12-3/4" deep, and has a firebox opening of approximately 44-1/2" wide and 41-7/8" tall.
