An attractive antique five-light Art Deco chandelier, found in a home in Charleston, NC. The chandelier begins with a foliate bordered canopy, coming down in a short rod and chain to an oversized, skyscraper-shaped finial detailed with a stylized palmette. The finial perches above the open, ring-shaped cast iron fixture in its original, polychrome finish; the underside of which is ornamented with stylized foliates, volutes, and characteristic Art Deco ziggurat detail. Five downward-facing bobeches each holding an exposed bulb are dispersed on the perimeter of the fixture. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 15-3/8" wide and 15-7/8" tall, and the fixture is 31-3/4" long overall.
