A stunning antique Neoclassical light fixture in brass, dating from the early 1900s, and featuring its original hand-blown shades. The chandelier begins with a foliate bordered canopy, descending in a rod to meet a leafy bowl and balustrade section. The section continues on to meet a leaf enveloped orb; two scrolling arms extend from the orb to affix to foliate bobeches which hold art glass tulip shades. A shade holder suspends below the orb to support a swirled and opalescent globe. This light fixture is in very good condition and the shades are also in good condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rims. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 23" wide and 47-1/2" tall.
