A magnificent antique three-light chandelier dating from the late 19th century, originally gas, and now completely wired for electricity. The japanned chandelier begins with an understated canopy, coming down in a rod to affix to a beaded platform atop an urn. Three Greek Key embellished arms affix to the body and extend outwards to support the fixture’s shades; each arm features its original “horseshoe” gas key. The fixture’s beautiful, frosted shades are acid etched with a crowning band of Greek Key detail. This light fixture is in excellent condition with the expected wear and a beautifully aged, copper-flashed patina; the shades are also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rims. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier measures 23-1/2” wide and 46” long overall.
