A fabulous Neoclassical light fixture in brass, dating from the early 1900s, and featuring their original hand-blown shades. The chandelier begins with a foliate bordered canopy, descending in a rod to meet a leafy cluster which crowns the chandelier body. The pierced almond-shaped body is beautifully cast with scrolling leaves and filigree, finishing in a foliate-enveloped finial. Two scrolling arms flank the body and extend outwards to hold swirled art glass shades. This light fixture is in very good condition and the shades are also in good condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rims. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 27-1/2" wide and 42" tall.
