A marvelous antique five-light Neoclassical chandelier, made and signed by Empire Lighting, and retaining its original silver plate and brass over pewter finish. The chandelier begins with intricately detailed canopy, coming down in a short rod and chain to a foliate enveloped volute finial. Below, a cluster of five dual-bands descend to form the open chandelier body and ascend into chandelier arms; each arm supports a leafy, downward-facing bobeche hung with a curtain of original prisms with unusual detailing; matching prisms drape from foliate flourishes throughout the fixture. The center of the chandelier features an urn-shaped carnival glass section in a rich and opalescent plum hue. This light fixture is in excellent condition with a beautifully aged patina; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 21” wide and 22” tall, and the fixture is 37-1/2” long overall.
