A fabulous antique five-light Neoclassical chandelier, dating from the early 1900's, and retaining its original silver plate and brass over pewter finish. The chandelier begins with a leaf-bordered canopy, coming down in a short brass rod and chain to a decorative loop finial. Below, a cluster of five dual-bands descend to form the open chandelier body and extend into chandelier arms; each arm supports a two-part bobeche hung with a curtain of sparkling “icicle” prisms. The center of the chandelier features an urn-shaped carnival glass section in a rich and opalescent plum hue. This light fixture is in excellent condition with a beautifully aged patina; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 20” wide and 22” tall, and the fixture is 41-1/2” long overall.
