An elegant antique Neoclassical lantern with its original mica, dating from the early 1900s. The pendant light begins with a beautifully ornamented canopy, coming down in chain to affix to a loop finial atop a sloped roof with a hexagonal overhang. The lantern body below is six-sided and has a liner framework; each side of the framework features a pierced design of volutes, leaves and berries and is backed with amber-hued mica. This pendant is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks to the mica, just the expected fleabites around the edges. It has been professionally rewired and comes with all necessary attachments for modern installation. The lantern measures 6-3/8” wide, 11” tall, and 23-1/8” overall.
