An elegant antique five-arm Tudor chandelier, dating from the early 1900s, and found in a home in Chicago, IL, This bronze chandelier begins with an understated canopy, coming down in a short rod and chain to a loop finial atop a trefoil-bordered platform. A smooth column ornamented with a twisted balustrade section runs down the center of the fixture and affixes to the shallow body below. The understated lower body features an open design with a scalloped trefoil border; five arms extend from it to hold two-part bobeches with pie-crust edges. A pierced and beautifully cast medallion suspends below and is ornamented with stylized leaves, berries, trefoils, volutes, and carnelian-hued highlights. The fixture is in very good condition with minor hairline cracks around all the candle cups (as pictured.) The light has been professionally rewired and comes with all necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier measures approximately 19-1/2" wide, 24-1/4" tall, and 39" long overall.
