A striking antique five-light Spanish Revival chandelier with shield details, signed by A.W. Reiser of Toledo, OH. The chandelier begins with a beautifully detailed canopy, descending in chain to meet an oversized finial ornamented with a crest at its center. A cluster of five beautifully cast bands descend to form the upper chandelier body; each band is ornamented with a shield, roping, volutes, and foliates. The ring style lower body suspends below and features complementary details in the form of hammered and seeded textures, crests, stylized foliates, roping, and faux rivets. Five arms extend from the perimeter of the ring to hold pierced bobeches finished with substantial spike finials; the fixture finishes in a coordinating spike finial. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 19-5/8" wide and 25-1/4" tall, and the fixture is 38-3/8" long overall.
