A gorgeous antique Neoclassical six-light chandelier in silver plate over brass, dating from the early 1900's, and found in a home in Franklin, TN. The chandelier begins with a canopy ornamented with a border of foliates, coming down in a reeded rod with a leafy baluster accent in its center. The rod affixes to an arched loop finial; a cluster of five square rods descend below to form the domed body; the body is encircled with a beaded band and swags of flowers, fruits, and leaves. The rods affix to the ring-style lower body which is bordered in roped detail; six arms extend from the perimeter of the ring to support candle cups with complementary detailing. This light fixture is in excellent condition with a beautifully aged patina; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 26” wide and the fixture is 47” long overall. This piece requires a custom shipping quote, please contact us if you’re interested.
