A wonderful antique five-light Neoclassical chandelier, dating from the early 1900s and featuring its original polychrome finish. The chandelier begins with a canopy embellished with stylized gadrooned detail and concentric circles, coming down in chain to meet a quatrefoil finial. The finial perches above a leafy urn which sits within the fixture’s bowl-shaped lower body; the underside of which is beautifully cast with foliate flourishes, stylized petals, curling volutes, and beading Five complementary arms perch around the perimeter of the fixture to hold candelabra style lights. The fixture is highlighted with mint green, kelly green, and peach hued polychrome accents throughout. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 17-1/4" wide, 13-1/4" tall, and the fixture is 30-3/8" long overall.
