A striking antique five-light silver plated chandelier, found in a home in Philadelphia, PA, and dating from the early 1900s. The chandelier begins with an understated canopy, coming down in chain to a loop finial atop a conical roof. Five reeded rods descend below the roof to affix to the lower body; the roof is hung with a dangling tassel finial. Five reeded arms extend from the lower body to support silver-plated downward facing bobeches; the bobeches support frosted shades with a sinuous Art Nouveau design. This light fixture is in very good condition with a hairline crack on its roof, the shades are also in very good condition with a few small chips in the shades (as pictured) The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. It measures 20” wide, 23-1/2” tall, and 38” long overall.
