A fabulous antique five-light chandelier, dating from the early 1900s and salvaged from a home in Lexington, KY. The cast iron chandelier begins with a beautifully detailed canopy, coming down in chain to an oversized almond-shaped finial adorned with scrolling volutes and petite flowers. The finial perches above the open and bowl-shaped fixture; the underside of which is ornamented with stylized flowers and foliates, beading, volutes, sections of slender gadrooning, and incised lines. Five bobeches perch around the perimeter of the fixture and hold the chandelier’s five lights. This light fixture is in excellent condition. It has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 15" wide and 13-1/2" tall, and the fixture is 31-1/2" long overall.
