A gorgeous antique five-light Neoclassical chandelier, dating from the early 1900s, and found in a home in Athens, GA. The chandelier begins with a canopy ornamented with acanthus and crenellated accents, coming down in a chain to a curving volute loop finial atop of foliate enveloped center baluster. Below, a cluster of volute embellished bands surround the baluster and form the open chandelier body; the bands extend outwards into arms which support leafy wax pans. The fixture finishes in a stylized fleur-de-lis finial. This light fixture is in excellent condition with a beautifully aged patina; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 19-3/4” wide and 18-5/8” tall, and the fixture is 34-3/4” long overall.
