A splendid antique four-tiered chandelier in its original silver plate over brass, dating from approximately 1910. This three-light “wedding cake” chandelier begins with an understated canopy which comes down in chain to affix to a leafy, beaded loop finial; the finial sits within a small platform hung with a curtain of icicle prisms. The platform descends to meet the circular ring which forms the top of the chandelier body; the silver plated ring features a band of thick leaf-and-dart trim. Below, the chandelier has four tiers of sparkling “icicle” prisms, and is finished with a faceted crystal ball. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 16-1/2” wide and approx. 25” long; the fixture is approx. 43-1/4” long overall.
