This is a charming antique figural five-light chandelier, dating from the early 1900’s, and found in a home in York, PA. The chandelier begins with a fleur-de-lis loop finial encircled with a petite crown of fleur-de-lis; flat bands descend below the crown to form the chandelier body. Intricate and pierced panels of lush foliage and exotic birds are interspersed between each band; the whimsical motif is repeated through the rest of the fixture. Rectangular panels ornamented with dogs, foliates, and flowers surround the lower portion of the fixture; scrolling bracket-style arms protrude between each panel and support downward-facing fleur-de-lis bobeches. Polychrome accents in red, green, and ivory highlight the fixture throughout; a dangling foliate finial completes it. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 19” wide and 24-1/2” tall, and the fixture is 39-1/2” long overall (without the bulbs.) There is a coordinating fixture available under #NC2492-RW.
