A gorgeous antique five-light Art Deco slip shade chandelier, dating from the early 1900's, and found in a home in Boston, MA. The chandelier begins with a polychrome canopy ornamented with acanthus leaves and palmettes, coming down in chain to meet the fixture's oversized finial which is ornamented with flowers and foliates. The chandelier body below is ornamented with Art Deco panels featuring stylized palmettes, ribbons and flowers; five gadrooned slip shades accented with vines are interspersed between each panel. Polychrome accents in red and mint green highlight the fixture throughout. This light fixture is in very good condition with a small chip in one of the slipper shades (as pictured.) The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The fixture measures 19-3/8" wide, 20" tall, and 35” long. There is a coordinating fixture available under #NC2375-RW.
