A magnificent antique brass eight-light chandelier, originally half gas and half electric, and now completely wired for electricity. Dating from the late 19th Century, the chandelier begins with a foliate-enveloped canopy, coming down in a rod to affix to an egg-shaped chandelier body. Eight chandelier arms extend from the body; four leafy arms with their original gas keys support foliate candle cups and four smooth arms arch and descend to support frosted, flower-like shades. This light fixture is in excellent condition. The shades are also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rims. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier measures 22” wide and 29-1/2” long overall.
